Ranbir Kapoor recently spoke about the future of the franchise and shared how Sandeep Reddy Vanga plans to turn Animal into a three-part series, making Animal Park the second installment.

Giving an update, Ranbir revealed that the director wants to make the franchise in three parts. He said, “He (Sandeep) just kind of flirted with what he really wants to do with the movie. He wants to make it in three parts. The second part is called Animal Park.”

Speaking about the creative process, he further added, “We have been sharing ideas from the first film itself. How he wants to take the story forward.”

Ranbir to play both protagonist and antagonist

What’s interesting is that Ranbir Kapoor will be playing a dual role in Animal Park. Expressing his excitement, he said, “It’s very exciting because now I get to play two characters, the antagonist and the protagonist. So extremely exciting project and an extremely original director, and I’m very excited to be a part of it.”

He further explained the logic behind this dual role, revealing a shocking twist in the narrative.

Dropping a major update, Ranbir talks about the logic behind the dual role: “The antagonist gets plastic surgery, becomes like a body double, and starts looking like the protagonist.”

When will Animal Park filming start?

With the chatter of Animal Park doing rounds, Ranbir Kapoor has finally shared the shooting timeline of the film. He said, “The director (Sandeep) is right now making another film (Spirit). We should start that film in 2027. It’s a bit away.”
