New Delhi: Amid the Bihar Assembly elections, Bhojpuri actor and BJP MP from Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan Shukla, has received a death threat. A man from Bihar reportedly called and threatened to kill him. The BJP MP’s secretary has filed a complaint with the Senior Superintendent of Police in Gorakhpur. Police have launched an investigation.

Threat to kill Ravi Kishan

Police investigations have revealed that the accused identified himself as Ajay Kumar Yadav, a resident of Jawaniya village in Ara district, Bihar. He called the BJP MP’s personal secretary, Shivas Dwivedi. He first used abusive language on the phone, then threatened to shoot Ravi Kishan Shukla. Meanwhile, the accused also expressed support for RJD candidate and Bhojpuri actor Khesari Lal Yadav from Chapra. Police have launched an investigation into the matter based on the complaint from the BJP MP’s secretary. Police claim that the accused will be traced and apprehended soon.

‘I will shoot you because you comment on Yadavs’

In a police complaint, the BJP MP’s personal secretary, Shivas Dwivedi, stated that he received a phone call. The caller identified himself as Ajay Kumar Yadav, a resident of Jawaniya village in Bihar’s Ara district. The accused threatened to kill Ravi Kishan and used abusive language. Ajay Yadav said, “Ravi Kishan comments on Yadavs, so I will shoot him. I know about your every move. I will kill you when you come to Bihar.”

The secretary replied that the MP had not used any offensive language against any particular community or caste. The accused became enraged and began abusing him. He further declared, “I know about your every move, I will kill you when you come to Bihar in four days.” He also made religious remarks along with threats.

Support for Khesari Lal Yadav

The BJP MP’s secretary claims that the caller has expressed support for Khesari Lal Yadav, the RJD candidate from Chhapra, in conversations. He also supported Khesari’s recent statement calling for a hospital to be built instead of the Ram Temple. The accused also used abusive language regarding Lord Shri Ram and the Ram Temple.
