SAFEST Airlines: Air travel is considered the fastest mode of travel. This is the reason people book expensive tickets to reach their destination on time. When we choose an airline’s aircraft for our travel, the first thing that comes in our minds is safety. But do you know which is the safest airline in the world? AirlineRatings.com has recently published a list of the world’s top 25 safest full-service airlines for 2025. The website reviewed and monitored as many as 385 airlines to make the list. It is to be noted that the ranking is based considering several factors, keeping in mind the safety and reliability. The website also reviewed factors such as – serious incidents in the past two years, pilot skill and training, fleet age and size, incident rates, deaths, profitability, IOSA certification, and ICAO audit results.
25 Safest Airlines For 2025: What Did The Website Say?
AirlineRatings.com CEO Sharon Petersen stated the fight for the top place was between Air New Zealand and Qantas and the competition was so close that there was a difference of only 1.50 points. She stated, “It was extremely close again between Air New Zealand and Qantas for first place, with only 1.50 points separating the two airlines. While both uphold the highest safety standards and pilot training, Air New Zealand has a younger fleet, giving it the edge.”
25 safest airlines for 2025: Tough Fight For The Third Place
There was a very tough competition between Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, and Emirates for third place. “The three-way tie was because we simply couldn’t separate these airlines. Their scores were identical across fleet age, pilot skill, safety practices, fleet size, and number of incidents,” she said.
