Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim admits rushing into Bollywood thinking ‘Ho jayega’ says, ‘I’m still…’
In a recent interview, Ibrahim Khan admits that he rushed into his debut. He said he didn't take acting for granted but had 'ho jayega' attitude.
The son of Bollywood’s famous Saif Ali Khan, who made his debut in the film Nadaaniyan in March, reveals that he rushed into his debut. He’s Ibrahim Ali Khan, who, after Nadaaniyan, starred in Sarzameen in July. These were OTT releases, and Ibrahim received wide criticism for both movies. The reviewers even mentioned that the actor had come raw and unprepared.
The actor’s mother, Amrita Singh, has also starred in popular movies like Mard, Naam, Thikana, and Khudgarz. Sara Ali Khan, his sister, has also built a name in Bollywood with her performances. However, at this, Ibrahim mentioned that he looks at them for inspiration during times of doubting himself. A recent interview with Khan is doing the rounds as he admits to rushing into his debut.
Debut of Ibrahim with Nadaaniyan
Ibrahim Ali Khan made his debut with Nadaaniyan, which came in March on the OTT platform Netflix. Shauna Gautam was the director of the film and showed popular faces like Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj.
After almost four months, another OTT release, Sarzameen featured Ibrahim. It was directed by Kayoze Irani and featured Kajol too. However, both the films of Ibrahim didn’t perform well. They had low approval ratings, and Ibrahim Khan received negative reviews.
‘I’m still working hard’
Ibrahim’s recent interview with Esquire India(BHARAT) is getting eyeballs. The actor revealed that he has never taken acting for granted, and he had got into films with the mentality of ‘ho jayega’. He added, “I was working very hard—like I’m still working hard on my speech issue. But in a way, I feel I must have rushed into that movie. I was 21 when I began shooting for it—others around me are doing it at 26, 27, 28—and I now think I could have been more mindful of the scale of what was going to happen.”
Lineage for Inspiration
He’s the son of Bollywood’s popular Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. His sister is Sara Ali Khan, and his grandmother is Sharmila Tagore. In the interview, he said, “I usually always have self-doubt. Whenever I feel unsure, all this (lineage) is a reminder of who’s at home. ‘You’re Saif Ali Khan’s kid. Bebo’s in your family. You should be able to do it. You should be smashing it, man.”
Khan’s upcoming project is a sports drama, ‘Diler.’ Reports suggest that it’s about a marathon runner. The movie is expected to release next year with no official confirmations yet.
