In the secret room which was sealed for almost 300 years since the Turkish-Polish War of 1676, experts have found evidences indicating that the room was used to store weapons or fire cannons. As per media reports, while discovering the secret room in Ukraine, more than 150 cubic meters of debris were removed by hand so that the researchers could reach the room, which was walled up in the 17th century.

“We removed more than 150 cubic meters of debris by hand. This work was done slowly and carefully because the use of heavy machines could break valuable things. This room, which was probably closed by a wall from the 17th century, is now exposed to the public”, Vladimir Olenik, Director General of the ancient Galich National Reserve was quoted as saying in a report by Zee news.
How was the secret room of Ukraine used for?
As told earlier, the initial findings suggest the secret room was used to store weapons or fire cannons, with soot marks on the walls as evidence. Reports also say that a small hole in the wall may lead to tunnels under the palace, which are yet to be explored, leading to more and more mystery creation around the tunnel.
