His mother, Geetha, reportedly discovered him inside the house while she was getting ready to leave for work. The sudden loss has deeply affected his family and neighbours, who described him as a gentle and reserved person. The incident has sent shockwaves through the Malayalam film fraternity, especially among those who had worked closely with him.

Who was Akhil Vishwanath?

Akhil Vishwanath was part of the 2019 Kerala State Film Award–winning film Chola, directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan. Though he was not frequently in the public eye, his work in the film was widely appreciated. His involvement in an award-winning project marked an important moment in his career and highlighted his potential as an actor. Despite limited appearances, Akhil was regarded as someone with strong artistic sensibilities and dedication to cinema.

Apart from acting, Akhil was reportedly working as a mechanic at a mobile phone shop in Kottali. However, he had stopped going to work for some time.
