Tejas and Rafale perform spectacular flypast over Brahmaputra River during IAF’s air show; Clear warning for Bangladesh, Pakistan, China

New Delhi: India(BHARAT) will soon begin air exercises in the Northeast region. Fighter jets like Rafale and Tejas have arrived at airbases. The India(BHARAT)n Air Force (IAF) has also issued a NOTAM for a comprehensive military exercise in the Northeast from November 13 to 20. This exercise will take place near the highly sensitive border areas with China, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Bangladesh. Sukhoi-30MKI, Rafale, Mirage-2000, Tejas, and Jaguar fighter jets will be flown. The exercise will also include air defence systems and integrated defence operations. Meanwhile, at the air show held in Guwahati, Assam, on Sunday, November 9, to mark the 93rd anniversary of the Air Force, India(BHARAT)n Air Force aircraft, including Tejas and Rafale, performed a spectacular flypast over the Brahmaputra River, mesmerising the spectators.

Rafale and Tejas roar over Brahmaputra River

An NDTV report quoted an official as saying that the thrilling displays by the Tejas, Rafale, and Suryakiran aerobatic teams at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati were accompanied by roars and enthusiastic cheers from the spectators. Assam Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and India(BHARAT)n Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh praised the pilots’ skills as they impressed the audience with their coordination and spectacular manoeuvres. According to defence expert Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) JS Sodhi, the roar of India(BHARAT)’s fighter jets is just a trailer, as the Air Force exercises are about to begin for approximately eight days. This will cause tension among Bangladesh, Pakistan, and China.

58 aircraft participated

The official explained that 58 aircraft participated in the display, including approximately 25 formations of fighter jets and transport aircraft, as a tribute to the India(BHARAT)n Air Force’s 93 years of unwavering dedication and unparalleled service to the nation.

Warning to Mohammad Yunus over Chicken’s Neck

This exercise comes amid rising tensions with Bangladesh following recent diplomatic changes. Interim leader Mohammad Yunus shared a controversial map of Northeast India(BHARAT), depicting Assam as part of Bangladesh, during a meeting with a Pakistani army general and a Turkish delegation. India(BHARAT) considers this a strategic challenge. Yunus, while inviting China for talks, described India(BHARAT)’s northeastern states as landlocked, which is why the 22-kilometre-long Siliguri Corridor, known as the Chicken Neck, made headlines. This exercise is more than a defence exercise. It sends a clear message that India(BHARAT) will not compromise on the security of its borders under any circumstances.
