Thamma box office collection day 4: Rashmika Mandanna-Ayushmann Khurana’s mythological drama sees huge downfall in 1st weekend opening, earns Rs…
Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Thamma faces a sharp drop in collections after a strong start, raising doubts about its place among Maddock’s horror-comedy hits.
Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Thamma delighted both its makers and audiences with impressive earnings on its first day of release. However, as the days have passed, the film’s earnings have seen a significant decline. All previous films in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe have been hits and superhits. However, considering Thamma’s fourth-day earnings, it seems unlikely to be included in the hit list.
A New Chapter in Maddock’s Horror Universe
Thamma, which hit theaters on October 21st, introduced audiences to the new world of Betaal, a genre Maddock has dominated since Stree and Bhediya. However, compared to Stree and Bhediya, Thamma’s earnings have been extremely slow. Judging by its fourth day’s earnings, it wouldn’t be wrong to say the film’s downfall has begun.
Thamma Sees a Decline on Day Four
According to the latest report from SacNilc, Thamma collected ₹9.55 crore at the box office on its fourth day of release. The film’s earnings dropped further compared to the third day. On the first day, the film collected ₹24 crore, on the second day it earned ₹18.6 crore, and on the third day it earned ₹13 crore. With this, the film’s total collection has now reached ₹65.15 crore. These figures are for Thamma in India(BHARAT).
A Big-Budget Gamble
The makers of Thamma have spent ₹145 crore to make it. Therefore, the film will need to accelerate its earnings to recover its budget. If this doesn’t happen, it will fall short of its budget. This will be the first film in the horror-comedy universe to fail to recover its budget.
Weekend Hopes Still Alive
While it remains to be seen how the film performs in the coming days, Thamma offers a completely new concept. Thamma is expected to reach ₹900 million worldwide in six days. The Saturday and Sunday holidays could benefit the film.
