Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma continues its strong box office run, crossing Rs 91 crore in six days and surpassing Bhediya’s lifetime collection.
Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films expanded its popular horror-comedy universe with Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film, which mixes vampire elements, comedy, and emotions, has managed to maintain its momentum at the box office even on its sixth day. According to the trade tracking site Sacnilk, Thamma is performing well at the box office. On the sixth day, i.e., the first Sunday after its release (October 26), the film earned ₹13 crore, taking its total collection to ₹91.70 crore.
Strong Opening with Weekend Growth
Part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, the film had a strong opening on Diwali but saw a slight decline during the week. However, its earnings are now improving significantly over the weekend. In terms of viewership, the film’s total Hindi viewership on Sunday was 23.19 percent.
Box Office Jump Reflects Growing Interest
The supernatural-themed film saw impressive box office growth on its fifth day, earning ₹13.1 crore (approximately $1.31 billion). This represents a 31 percent increase from the previous day, when it earned ₹10 crore (approximately $1.0 billion). This jump in earnings reflects growing audience interest, indicating that the film is gaining momentum as it continues to hold its ground in theaters.
Thamma Surpasses Bhediya and Other Films
On Saturday (October 25), Thamma surpassed the lifetime box office collection of Varun Dhawan’s Maddock horror-comedy Bhediya, which earned ₹68.99 crore. The film had previously surpassed the domestic collection of Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which earned ₹60.35 crore.
