This orange iPhone 17 pro lookalike isn’t Apple – wait till you see its massive 10,080mAh battery
Honor Power 2 debuts with iPhone 17 Pro-like design, eye-catching orange finish, and a massive 10,080mAh battery, promising long endurance, fast charging, and competitive hardware ahead of its January launch globally.
Unveiling a new smartphone that immediately reminds many of the Apple iPhone 17 Pro, Chinese smartphone maker Honor is set to launch the Honor Power 2 in China on January 5, 2026. The company’s upcoming device is creating quite the buzz ahead of its official debut, due in large part to its uncanny design similarities with the iPhone 17 Pro and its massive 10,080 mAh battery.
Honor’s upcoming flagship, the Power 2 sports a design that strongly resembles that of Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro. The most noticeable similarity is the phone’s color options and rear panel design, which features a triple-camera setup in an arrangement that Apple fans will find instantly recognizable. The standout color of the Power 2 is an orange hue, which many are calling the Chinese answer to Apple’s Cosmic Orange that was available on the iPhone 17 Pro. This color has been given the name Rising Sun Orange by the community. In addition to the orange variant, Honor is also expected to release the Power 2 in the Magic Night Black and Snow White color options.
Unlike Apple’s offering, the Honor Power 2 is rumored to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset along with 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. The main camera sensor of the device is expected to be 50 megapixels, with the supporting details on the secondary camera array still being under wraps.
However, the feature that is expected to steal the show is the battery. The 10,080 mAh battery of the Honor Power 2 is a massive one, even by today’s standards, where flagship smartphones usually come with batteries that are in the range of 4,000–5,000 mAh. The huge capacity is bound to give the device immense battery life, and as per some early rumors, it may also support 80W fast charging, which is quite rapid by current standards. Wireless charging, on the other hand, is reportedly not going to be supported, a move that is being attributed to the company’s efforts in keeping the overall price of the device down.
With an aggressive design, a mammoth battery, and competitive specifications, the Honor Power 2 is targeting a niche audience that wants to own a device with the style of an expensive phone and a battery that can take care of their multimedia and heavy usage needs for a whole day and more. The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale in China on January 5, 2026.
