Ticket Booking Big Update: Attention passengers, if you are going to book train tickets to your home to celebrate Diwali and Chhath, you should know about the India(BHARAT)n Railways’ major change. The Railway Ministry has introduced a new train booking rule, which will come into force on October 1. Earlier, this rule applied only to Tatkal tickets, but now it will apply to normal reservations as well.
What Is India(BHARAT)n Railways’ New Rule?
Under the new India(BHARAT)n Railways’ rule, passengers who have undergone Aadhaar verification will be able to book online tickets within the first 15 minutes after the opening of the reservations counter. Currently, this rule applies only to Tatkal ticket bookings but from October 1st it will be applied on general reservations also.
It is worth noting that the India(BHARAT)n Railways has decided to prevent fraud in train ticket bookings.

New Rule Will Apply To IRCTC Website And App
As per the India(BHARAT)n Railways the ticket reservations rule will apply to the IRCTC website and app. On a contrary, the process for passengers buying tickets from computerised PRS counters will remain the same.
Priority To Aadhaar-Verified Accounts
Aadhaar-verified accounts of passengers will be given priority. It means, for the first 15 minutes those who have verified Aadhar account will be able to book tickets. Bookings will not be allowed for anyone other than verified Aadhaar accounts.
