Weather Warning: Cold wave, fog grip Uttar Pradesh, alerts issued for these districts

Weather Warning: Cold wave conditions are intensified in parts of Uttar Pradesh. Dense fog also enveloped the state, reducing visibility during morning hours. The cold wave has also broken records in Purvanchal, causing hardship for the people. The Meteorological Department has predicted a cold wave and dense fog in several parts of the state.
Noida Weather
According to senior scientist Atul Kumar Singh, the speedy winds may change after the passage of the Western Disturbance. As the winds are becoming north-westerly, a drop of 1-3 degrees Celsius in day and night temperatures is expected.
Cold Wave Warning
The minimum temperature in some parts of Western Uttar Pradesh is expected to drop below 4 degrees Celsius. However, no major change is expected in the next 48 hours. The weather department stated that cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in Western Uttar Pradesh including Agra, Aligarh, Meerut, Saharanpur, Moradabad, and Rohilkhand.
Noida Weather
The cold wave conditions have intensified in Noida and Greater Noida. On Monday, the city’s minimum recorded temperature was around 3 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature hovered around 19 degrees Celsius.
The IMD has issued a yellow alert for cold wave conditions, alerting that fog is also expected to return from Wednesday. A yellow alert for dense fog conditions has also been issued for January 16th to 18th.
Delhi Weather
Severe cold wave conditions continue to sweep across the Delhi-NCR region, pushing nighttime temperatures to freezing levels. The IMD has issued an orange alert for today, informing that several parts of the national capital continue to experience severe cold wave conditions. Dense fog also enveloped the region, further reducing the visibility and causing travel disruptions.
Cold Wave Warning For North India(BHARAT)
The weather department informed us that severe cold wave conditions persist in parts of North India(BHARAT). It has also issued a red warning for severe cold wave and dense fog conditions in Punjab and Haryana.
Dense Fog Warning
Dense to very dense fog is expected to envelope parts of Punjab, Haryana and northern Rajasthan. Patchy fog is expected across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh during the morning hours. Poor visibility during early morning is expected to affect road, rail and air travel across several regions.
South India(BHARAT) Weather
Southern states are expected to witness rainfall. Several parts of Tamil Nadu and the Puducherry region received rainfall on Monday due to the northeast monsoon. As per IMD, light to moderate showers are expected to continue over the next week.
