Gangster Deependra Singh: Notorious gangster Deependra Singh Shekhawat, alias Sagar, escaped after obtaining bail using forged bail documents.
A henchman associated with the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang managed to escape. On the instructions of gangster Rohit Godara, who is hiding abroad, he used to extort money from big businessmen of Rajasthan by threatening to kill them. He filed a bail plea on the pretext of attending his brother’s wedding. He presented fake sureties in the court after which he got bail for 5 days on 30th November. He did not return home after getting bail. He was supposed to return to jail on 4th December but he absconded. The name of this criminal is Deependra Singh Shekhawat alias Sagar.

Three years ago, Deependra Singh alias Sagar was lodged in Jaipur’s Central Jail. After a dispute with the jailer, he was transferred to the high-security jail in Ajmer. While in the high-security jail in Ajmer, he remained in contact with gangster Rohit Godara, who was hiding abroad, and began plotting his escape. Recently, he filed a bail petition, citing his brother’s wedding. The petition argued that he had no male member in his family. Therefore, he should be granted five-day bail. The court accepted his bail. Jaipur police has announced a reward of Rs 25 thousand for the arrest of Deependra Singh Shekhawat alias Sagar.
15 cases registered including 2 murders and 4 attempts to murder
Hanuman Prasad Meena, DCP West of Jaipur Commissionerate, stated that two murder cases are registered against Deependra Singh, who absconded on bail. A total of 15 cases have been registered, including four cases of attempted murder. Special Commissioner Rahul Prakash has formed a special team to arrest Deependra Singh alias Sagar. Raids are being conducted at suspected hideouts in Rajasthan and neighboring states. Security personnel deployed on the Nepal border have also been alerted against Sagar. A lookout notice has also been issued against him so that he can be apprehended if he attempts to flee abroad.
