Believing that Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar portrayed their son’s life, the parents of late Major Mohit Sharma moved Delhi High Court claiming their rights. However, dismissing the claim, the High Court clarified the fact that the movie was not based on the martyred officer of the India(BHARAT)n Army.

Rishma Sarin is the wife of Ashok Chakra awardee late Major Mohit Sharma. She comes from an army family where her father, Retired Colonel Moohan Lal Sareen, served in the Army Service Corps, the same Corps she later joined. Though the exact date of her marriage to Mohit Sharma is not publicly known, the couple built a life together and are parents to two children. Rishma, now a Lieutenant Colonel (then a Major), has carved her own path in the India(BHARAT)n Army. Born and raised in Gurdaspur, Punjab, Rishma Sarin joined the force in 2001 and continues to serve with distinction.
