As Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar continues to draw strong numbers at the box office, the film has received appreciation from an unexpected voice, PDP leader Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti. Known for her straightforward and clear opinions, Iltija shared her thoughts on the film on social media and expressed genuine admiration for its storytelling, performances, and most importantly, its treatment of women characters.

In her post, Iltija explained that despite the controversy and mixed reactions surrounding Dhurandhar, she personally found the film engaging and well-executed. What impressed her the most was the casting, which she described as “perfection.” Sharing her thoughts on X, she wrote, “Much outrage over Dhurandhar but I quite liked the movie & found it interesting. The casting especially is perfection. Women for once as is the case in most violent Bollywood movies weren’t used as props. Very well made.” Her remarks highlighted a refreshing change in the way female characters were presented, something she believes the film handled with maturity.
