The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, on Wednesday, said that a strong rule of law has played a major role in changing the state’s image. He added that it has increased the confidence of the public in Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister, in his address at the Provincial Armed Constabulary Raising Day Celebrations held in Lucknow, highlighted that peace and security make up the foundation of governance, economic growth, and job creation.
What did CM Yogi say?
The Chief Minister said that the increasing confidence in Uttar Pradesh is due to better law and order. He mentioned that peace and security help in the formation of strengthening governance, get investment, and promote economic growth.
PAC’s role in internal security
He stressed the history of PAC and said that the force has played an important role in the maintenance of law and order, disaster management, and VVIP security. He reminisced about the bravery of PAC personnel during the 2001 Parliament attack and the 2005 attacks at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya.
Measures highlighted by CM Yogi
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned that the government has recruited more than 41,000 PAC constables and almost 700 platoon commanders. He said that over the last eight years, the state has conducted recruitment for more than 2.19 lakh police personnel. CM Yogi stated that the state is making continuous efforts for the improvement of facilities and welfare of police personnel.
