Delhi Red Fort blast: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has uncovered another vehicle allegedly linked to the “white collar” terror module at the Al Falah University in Faridabad, three days after a deadly car blast killed near Delhi’s Red Fort killed 13 people and injured several others.

Where was the car found?

In a statement, Faridabad police said a suspicious Maruti Brezza car, believed to be linked to the Delhi Red Fort blast case, was found parked at the Al Falah University’s parking lot on Thursday, and is being inspected by Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The car, which bears a Haryana registration number, was found parked in the varsity’s parking lot, they said, adding that other vehicles within the university complex were being inspected and details about their ownerships were being verified.

According to media reports, citing sources, the Maruti Brezza car belongs to Dr Shaheen Saeed, one of the accused arrested in the terror module case.

Delhi blast perps had procured three cars

Earlier, police had traced another vehicle– a red Ford EcoSport– linked to the to the terror module, in Faridabad’s Khandawali village on Wednesday, two days after a white Hyundai i20, driven by a Kashmiri doctor, Umar Nabi, blew up near the Red Fort, killing 13 people.

The Ford EcoSport was inspected by a bomb disposal squad, and the man who allegedly parked the vehicle in Khandawali village, was detained and handed over to the Delhi Police for questioning, the Faridabad Police said, adding that investigations had revealed that the suspects had three cars to carry vehicle-borne IEDs (VBIED), following which an alert was sounded across all police stations, police outposts and border checkpoints to trace the red Ford EcoSport.

On Monday, a white Hyundai i20, reportedly driven by Dr Umar Nabi, a Kashmir-based doctor, exploded at a traffic signal near Delhi’s Red Fort, leaving 13 people dead and injuring several others.

Hours earlier, authorities had busted busted a inter-state “white-collar” terror module with links to terrorist outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind and spanned across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. They seized 2,900 kilograms of explosive substances and arrested eight people, including three doctors linked to Al Falah University.

The Al Falah University has said it has only a professional association with the two of its doctors arrested in connection with the blast and is anguished by the unfortunate developments.

Notably, investigations have revealed that Delhi Red Fort blast prime accused, Umar Nabi, had not planned to blow up the vehicle on November 10, but on December 6, on the occasion of the Babri Masjid demolition anniversary.
