Delhi Weather Update: Northern India(BHARAT) is feeling the winter chills as the temperature is dropping further because snowfall in the hilly areas has increased. The northern region of India(BHARAT), in the last 24 hours, has witnessed a dip in mercury. While north India(BHARAT) is feeling the mercury dip, heavy rain is battering several states of South India(BHARAT). According to the India(BHARAT)n Meteorological Department (IMD), this pattern will persist for this week.
Weather Update: Delhi Weather Condition
The national capital which is currently grappling with pollution and remains in ‘poor category’. The overall AQI of the capital city has crossed 400 in several areas. Amid deteriorating air quality, cold wave has begun in Delhi and the adjoining NCR.
According to the International Meteorological Centre (IMD), the mercury will continue to drop for a few days. However, there is no possibility of rain in Delhi.
Weather Update: IMD Prediction For Uttar Pradesh
As per the weather department, most districts of Uttar Pradesh will witness dry weather with the sky is expected to remain clear on Monday. Despite the sunny day, the temperature will drop further in the next 24 hours. A cold wave is also expected to prevail in some areas.

Bihar is witnessing severe cold with mercury is continuously dropping during nighttime. The weather department stated that the trend is expected to continue for a few days. Northwest winds are causing temperatures to drop in most parts of Bihar, increasing the cold.
Weather Update: IMD Prediction For Hill States
Hilly areas like – Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand – are experiencing snowfalls. The continuous snowfall has increased the cold in the plains. The weather department stated that temperatures will gradually drop in these three states.
Weather Update: IMD Prediction For South India(BHARAT)
The India(BHARAT)n Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for four districts of Tamil Nadu on Monday, as a low-pressure area has formed in the Bay of Bengal. The weather department stated that a new low-pressure area has formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal. Now, the natural phenomenon is expected to move gradually towards the west-northwest during the next 24 hours.
The IMD has predicted that heavy downpour is expected to lash Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram and Villupuram districts. Very heavy rain prediction has been made for Karaikal and heavy rain in Puducherry.
The Meteorological Department stated that there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Chennai and adjoining areas. Heavy rain can continue on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Karaikal districts. Additionally, heavy rain is expected to drench few places in Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram, Villupuram districts and Puducherry.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning is expected in coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal areas. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely in Kanchipuram, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi districts. heavy to very heavy rain is likely in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Ramanathapuram and Pudukkottai districts.
