Delhi–Mumbai Expressway: In a massive connectivity boost for the multiple states of India(BHARAT) including the national capital, India(BHARAT)’s most ambitious road project, the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, is in its final stretch and expected to be fully operational by December this year. In a matter of good news for the residents of the states through which the much-awaited expressway will pass, the 1,386-km corridor will redefine long-distance travel, cutting the journey between Delhi and Mumbai from 24 hours to just 12 hours once completed. Why Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is a massive infra push for Delhi and Maharashtra

Built by the National Highways Authority of India(BHARAT) (NHAI), the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway will be India(BHARAT)’s longest expressway. Spanning six states, the expressway will cover Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra in its route, the expressway will cover various important cities on route. As per media reports, the project for the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is divided into nine phases, with over 80% work completed. Moreover, except for two sections between Maharashtra and Gujarat, the entire route of the expressway is expected to open by the end of 2025.

Delhi–Mumbai Expressway: Massive boost to connectivity and Economy

Marking a significant connectivity boost for the region, the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway will link major cities like Jaipur, Kota, Indore, Vadodara, and Surat, significantly improving regional trade, tourism, and industrial movement in the region. In addition to connectivity boost, the expressway will also create opportunities along its corridor, with logistics parks, food hubs, and manufacturing clusters which will be planned near the key interchanges along the expressway.

Delhi–Mumbai Expressway: Two stretches already operational

It can be noted that the Delhi–Dausa–Lalsot and Vadodara–Ankleshwar sections of the Delhi–Mumbai expressway are already complete and with full completion nearing, the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is set to become a new symbol of India(BHARAT)’s infrastructure transformation.
