Europe offering golden opportunity for Indian IT professionals, here is how you can easily get these jobs

New Delhi: Jobs in the IT or tech sector are in dire straits worldwide. Countries like the US are experiencing massive layoffs. However, European countries need IT workers. Consequently, companies are readily offering sponsorships for jobs here. This is benefiting foreign students with degrees from top universities. An India(BHARAT)n worker working in the IT sector in Europe has explained how students can easily find jobs here.

He has written a post on Reddit, and his account’s name is r/India(BHARAT)ns_StudyAbroad

The India(BHARAT)n worker also shared a list of countries where a degree is most likely to be obtained and explained which university offers the best job prospects. An India(BHARAT)n worker posted on the social media platform Reddit, offering job advice to students considering pursuing a master’s degree in Europe. He himself came to Europe on an Erasmus Mundus scholarship to pursue a master’s degree, and after completing his degree, he also found a job easily.

Job availability despite language limitations

He explained that high-skilled workers are finding jobs quickly in the IT sector. He said, “What I’ve observed regarding IT hiring in Europe is that India(BHARAT)n students who have earned degrees from a top university in a country are being hired even if they don’t know the language. This is because European countries need high-skilled workers for IT jobs. They need high-skilled workers, and this is only happening in Western European countries.”

Studying in Europe is affordable, and governments provide subsidies

He said that studying in Europe is affordable, and countries like France are subsidising education to attract foreign students to the country. He said, “My advice would be to look at European countries, except Germany, because there are already a lot of people there.” The cost of living and studying here is also significantly lower than in the USA. For example, France is a good option with top universities, and the government provides subsidies for both its citizens and foreign students.

He also mentioned that Switzerland and Denmark are also good countries to study, but only if your parents have a decent amount of money. While the cost of studying in these countries is low, the cost of living and food is sky-high. Students are only getting jobs in the IT sector after studying courses like computer science, computer engineering, data science, and artificial intelligence.

Which universities should be considered?

In his post, the India(BHARAT)n worker explained that students should only pursue degrees from top universities, as this will increase their chances of getting a job. He compiled a list of all the countries, detailing which ranked universities should be considered if someone is going to study in these countries. He said, “I would suggest targeting only the top universities in your field using the criteria below.”

He posted on Reddit:

I would suggest only aiming for top universities in your field by roughly using the below metric.

Belgium, Austria, Italy, Spain, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Cyprus, Czechia: Top 1

France, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Ireland: Top 3

UK, Germany (if you absolutely must): Top 5

Then network your way through conferences in top MNCs and corporates in those countries that are often sponsoring work visas. I see people in my circles getting hired quite regularly but only those that studied at top universities.
