Who was Chandra Nagamallaiah?

Chandra Nagamallaiah was a 50-year-old man, who was attacked with a machete outside the Downtown Suites motel which is located in East Dallas. The attack took place in the early hours of 10 September. The killer attacked the victim in front his wife and child following what witnesses described as an argument.

37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez has been charged with capital murder and is currently kept in Dallas County Jail. The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has issued a federal detainer for the Cuban national, who is in the country without legal status.
