The latest controversy concerns Pandit Mukesh Shukla, a renowned astrologer and religious figure from Uttar Pradesh. Sunita made derogatory remarks about him on Paras Chhabra’s podcast.

During the podcast, Sunita said, “We have one in our house too, Govinda’s priest. He’s like that too. Get the puja done, give 2 lakh rupees. I tell Govinda to do the puja himself, the puja done by him will not work. God accepts your prayers only when you do it with your own hands. I don’t believe in all this. Even if I donate or do any good work, I do it with my own hands for my own good. The one who is afraid gets scared.”

She further said, “The circle that Govinda hangs out in has a lot of stupid people who are more fools than writers. They fool Govinda and give him bad advice. He can’t find good people, and they don’t like me because I speak the truth.”

Apologised by releasing a video

Now, Govinda has released a video apologising for his wife’s statement. In the video, he said that he has been consulting Pandit Mukesh Shukla for years and has great respect for him. Govinda said, “My wife made derogatory remarks against Pandit Mukesh Shukla on the podcast, and I condemn her. I apologize from the bottom of my heart.”
