Narendra Modi Oath Taking Ceremony: Narendra Modi is expected to take oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third time on June 9, as per several media reports. Earlier, the grand ceremony was reported to be held a day earlier on June 8. Notably, Modi on June 5 submitted his letter to President Droupadi Murmu ahead of the grand oath taking ceremony. President Murmu accepted his resignation and requested Modi to continue as the Prime Minister till the new government assumed office.

Earlier media reports also suggested that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo Chandrababu Naidu, who was expected to be sworn in as the Andhra Pradesh CM on June 09, will now tke oath in front of the state governor on June 12. The oath-taking ceremony’s date has been changed due to Narendra Modi’s oath ceremony, which at the time was expected to be on Saturday (June 8).

A host of international VIPs including Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh’s Prime Minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Sri Lankan President, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the Prime Minister of Nepal, and Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan, are all set to grace Modi’s official oath-taking, converting it into a seriously glamorous affair.

The Lok Sabha elections turned out to be a close call for BJP-led NDA, managing to clinch 293 out of the total 543 seats, just over the finish line. The INDA alliance managed to exceed their forecast by securing 234 seats. Their notable achievements were seen in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra – these regions being essential dominions for BJP.

Indeed, it was a busy Wednesday for Narendra Modi. He took charge of the final gathering under Modi 2.0 Cabinet scheme including Council of Ministers, their goal – a detailed review of election results, and chalking out potentially impactful plans for the newly formed government. As the day wound down, the discussion transitioned as he drove an NDA meeting in the evening, focusing on the detailed execution plan for establishing the new government.
