This river flows into Pakistan and is a major source of water for Pakistan.

Afghans have rights over their waterWater and Energy Minister Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor has issued a strong statement supporting this move, making it clear that Afghans have the right to manage their water resources.

When India(BHARAT) stopped the water…

Following the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, India(BHARAT) also cancelled the water treaty with Pakistan and there were talks of imposing restrictions on water supplies. Immediately after the killing of 26 civilians in Kashmir, the government suspended its participation in the 1960 Indus Water Treaty, which governs the use of the Indus River system. One of the key plans is to double the length of the Ranbir Canal on the Chenab River to 120 km, which runs through India(BHARAT) to the agricultural region of Pakistan’s Punjab.
