‘Musharraf handed over Pakistan’s nuclear bombs to…’: Ex-CIA agent drops bombshell on Pakistan
A former CIA officer also revealed that Saudi Arabia's direct intervention saved the life of Pakistani nuclear scientist AQ Khan.
Former CIA officer John Kiriakou has made a shocking revelation that Pakistan sold its nuclear bomb to the United States. Kiriakou, who worked for the CIA for nearly 15 years, has named former Pakistani Army Chief General Pervez Musharraf, claiming that General Musharraf handed over Pakistan’s nuclear bomb to the United States. Kiriakou, had previously served as head of US counterterrorism operations in Pakistan.
How Washington “bought” Musharraf?
Kiriakou revealed how Washington “bought” former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf with millions of dollars in aid and claimed that the US once controlled Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal. Kiriakou also criticized US’ double standards in foreign policy, accusing Washington of working “cozily with dictators” and prioritizing self-interest over democratic ideals.
‘Musharraf handed over Pakistan’s nuclear bomb to US’
Kiriakou revealed that ‘we bought Musharraf and he gave us open access to Pakistan’s security structure’. Kiriakou said that during that period, US agencies had almost unlimited access to Pakistan’s military and intelligence operations, but Musharraf adopted a dual policy. On one hand, he pretended to cooperate with US against terrorism, and on the other hand, he continued terrorist activities against India(BHARAT). He said that “Pakistani army did not care about Al-Qaeda. They cared about India(BHARAT). Musharraf pretended to support US in anti-terrorism operations, while spreading terror against India(BHARAT).”
What the ex-CIA officer claimed?
“When I was stationed in Pakistan in 2002, I was told unofficially that the Pentagon controlled the Pakistani nuclear arsenal because Musharraf was afraid of what could happen. But in recent years, Pakistanis have denied this. If Pakistani generals are in control, I would be very worried about who is in charge politically,” he told news agency ANI in an interview.
