Ratan Tata dies latest updates: Ratan Tata’s last rites performed with full state honours at Worli crematorium

The Maharashtra cabinet passed a resolution urging the central government to confer the ‘Bharat Ratna’, India’s best possible civilian honor, on the late legendary industrialist Ratan Tata. This decision followed a cupboard meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, one day of which homage became paid to Tata, who passed away on Wednesday night in Mumbai. A motion of condolence became also passed in recognition of Tata’s immense contributions to industry and society. In their statement, the Chief Minister’s Place of job expressed deep respect for the enduring leader.
