Saudi Arabia Accident: At least 42 India(BHARAT)ns were killed in Saudi Arabia after a passenger bus traveling from the holiest city in Islam — Mecca — to Medina collided with a diesel tanker on Sunday midnight, causing a massive fire. Several pilgrims also suffered injuries and were rushed to hospitals. The mishap took place at around 1.30 am India(BHARAT)n time, when most of the passengers in the bus were sleeping.
Saudi Arabia Accident: What Exactly Happened?
According to media reports, majority of the deceased, including women and children, were from Hyderabad. They visited Saudi Arabia for Umrah – a religious pilgrimage for Muslims from Mecca to Medina.
The pictures and videos surfaced on the internet featured the bus completely engulfed in massive flames, suggesting that the passengers did not even get a chance to get out.
