Saudi Arabia Vs Israel: Ahead of the UN meeting, UAE issues strict warning to Netanyahu, calls West Bank occupation a…, Crown Prince says…

New Delhi: In a stern message to Israel over the West Bank issue, Saudi Arabia has said that the Israel’s occupation of the West Bank would be considered a red line and will never be accepted. If it happens, the process of normalizing Israel-Saudi relations under the Abraham Accords will come to a halt. It is important to note that the warning comes ahead of the United Nations General Assembly vote to recognize Palestine as a country and before the France-Saudi plan could take shape on the ground.

As per the N12 report, the message sent by Saudi Arabia to Israel stated that any steps to occupy the West Bank would have significant consequences. Saudi political sources said they would use economic and security measures. Not only that, Israel’s airspace would also be closed. This clearly indicates that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) is taking a tough stance against Israel.

UAE also adopts a tough stance

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has indicated that in response to Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, it may downgrade diplomatic relations with Israel. The UAE had established ties with Israel in 2020 under the Abraham Accords. On the West Bank issue, the UAE is considering recalling its ambassador from Israel. However, the UAE has not explicitly stated what measures it might take.

This report about Saudi Arabia sending a strong message to Israel has come at a time when Britain, Canada, and Australia have recognized Palestine. Amid these developments, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is preparing to visit the United States. Netanyahu may meet U.S. President Doland Trump to discuss this issue. Israel’s occupation of the West Bank could also harm America’s relations with Arab countries.
