When Shah Rukh Khan Lost His Cool

Shah Rukh Khan is not just an actor but an emotion to so many people out there. From DDLJ to movies like Pathaan, the actor has impressed everyone with his versatility. However, it was during the 90s when SRK had a heated argument with producer Ratan Jain. The two worked on movies like Baazigar, Baadshah, Yes Boss, and Josh. However, their bond soured after they did Yes Boss.

In a recent conversation, Ratan Jain opened up about an incident during Yes Boss. The producer remembered how Shah Rukh Khan flew into a rage when he was informed that Saif Ali Khan would take his place in the film.

During an interview with TV9 Bharatvarsh, Jain recalled the time when Yes Boss director Aziz Mirza was trying to finalise dates and cast Shah Rukh Khan for the film.

Ratan said, “Aziz said if Shah Rukh doesn’t want to do the film, we will make it with somebody else. And while talking to Shah Rukh, I ended up saying, ‘If you don’t want to do it, I will make it with Saif.’ That was a huge mistake. I don’t know how it slipped out of my mouth.”

Furthermore, Jain revealed how the discussion of being replaced had greatly angered Shah Rukh Khan, to the point that the actor even called him late at night to vent his frustration.

Angry Shah Rukh Khan’s Response to Ratan Jain

SRK said, “First, Shah Rukh called Hari Singh, who used to handle my work, and lashed out at him severely. He must have hurled abuses as well. Then he called me and said, ‘You are replacing me with Saif?’ He was angry and asked, ‘Saif, who?’ I explained that it just slipped out of my mouth. But he said, ‘It doesn’t work that way. What’s in your mind, you said it.’ I told him, ‘I can’t take back the words I said, but what’s done is done.’ Then he said, ‘Let’s do one thing: I’ll complete the film I’m doing for you, Baadshah, and after that, we won’t work together.'”

However, later when the two met, they resolved their matter and cleared the air.
