'Thalapathy Vijay's Leo should earn Rs 100 crore on its 1st day at the worldwide box office,' predicts trade expert

The upcoming weekend is expected to be an action-packed affair for the cinegoers as biggies like Tiger Shroff’s Ganapath, Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo, Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao and Shiva Rajkumar’s Ghost are arriving at the box office.

Among the above-mentioned biggies, Leo holds an unprecedented buzz as it is a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe and marks the reunion of Thalapathy & Kanagaraj after the blockbuster success of Master.

Talking about the opening day prediction of the action-thriller, reputed trade expert Ramesh Bala told Firstpost, “I’m expecting it to do 100 crores worldwide on day one.” He also revealed that the issue in the Telugu states regarding the Telugu version has been solved this morning and said, “The Telugu issue just got cleared this morning. The title was somebody else’s name registered. There was a miscommunication. So the people who are releasing the Leo Telugu version have reached an agreement with them. So, hopefully, the Telugu version should also release tomorrow. So hopefully all these issues should get resolved already by today and I’m hoping for a smooth release tomorrow.”

Despite not getting a release in the national chains, the Hindi version of Leo is getting a decent response in the northern market of the country. “Whatever it has gotten from the single screens or non-national multiplexes in the North Hindi certainly will be an addition icing on the cake. Suppose if the movie reviews are good, word of mouth is good means it will even pick up the weekend, Saturday and Sunday. So, that we have to wait and see. More than 95% of the revenue is going to come from Tamil and Telugu versions in India and overseas. So, less than 5% is expected right now from Hindi. So, anything that is coming from there will certainly be a boost.

Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand, the music of Leo is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
