As per the data, the highest number of India(BHARAT)n students (170) were deported by the United Kingdom this year. Australia has become the second country by deporting 114 India(BHARAT)n students, followed by Russia with 82 and the US with 45.

The data states that this year the US deported around 3,800 India(BHARAT)ns due to several reasons, including tighter checks on documents, visa status, work authorisation and overstays. Washington DC deported a total of 3,414 India(BHARAT)ns, followed by Houston with 234 cases. However, when it comes to Saudi Arabia, the numbers are very high compared to the US.
What Is The Main Reason For Deportation Across Gulf Countries?
MEA said that overstaying visa validity is the biggest and most common reason for deportation. Most of the Gulf and Southeast Asian countries performed large numbers of deportations during the year.
The common violations that triggered deportation were overstaying visas, working without valid permits, breaching labour rules and absconding from employers.
According to Bheema Reddy, vice-chairman of the Telangana government’s NRI advisory committee, most of the deported India(BHARAT)ns are low-skilled workers
“This is a pattern with Gulf countries, which see a large migration of workers from India(BHARAT) who either take up jobs as labourers in the construction sector, become caregivers, or work as house-help. Most of them are. low-skilled workers who migrate through agents and, in many cases, in an attempt to earn extra money, end up involved in minor offences,” he said.
According to authorities, India(BHARAT)n workers, who are going abroad for the first time, fall victim to fraud by agents and deported after being caught.
