Shah Rukh Khan once again proved his stardom with his latest release, Jawan. The action-thriller has been receiving praise from all sides and adding to the list, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj also showered praises on Atlee’s directorial. Talking during to India Today, the Haider maker termed Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan as a ‘beautiful film’. He also called King Khan his ‘hero’. According to Vishal Bhardwaj, no one could have done what SRK did in his latest release.

Calling Jawan a beautiful film, Vishal Bhardwaj was quoted as saying, “They showed perfectly what they wanted to show. He is my hero in Jawan.”

The director revealed that the subject of espionage has not been dealt with by Bollywood. He added that while it happens to be an extremely thrilling and exciting topic, it does not offer flying cars. Vishal Bhardwaj revealed that Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan and Jawan are part of a heightened imaginative world and are not espionage films in reality.

Atlee on Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan monologue 

During the same event, Atlee was asked if Shah Rukh Khan’s viral voting monologue from Jawan was anti-establishment. Reacting to the question with a ‘no’, Atlee said that everyone should know who to vote for, how to vote and read the manual. He added that he was just describing the meaning of responsibility through the dialogue.

All about Jawan

Financed by the production banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, the primary cast of the movie includes Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone (special appearance), Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra. While Anirudh Ravichander has rendered the songs and background score for Jawan, G. K. Vishnu has cranked the camera for the movie. Ruben has handled the editing for SRK starrer. 

Released on 7 September, the project has managed to mint more than Rs 1000 crore at the global box office.

In the meantime, Vishal Bhardwaj’s edge-of-the-seat thriller, Khufiya premiered on the streaming giant on 5 October. The story of the movie is inspired by Amar Bhushan’s espionage novel of the name, Escape to Nowhere. It talks about a RAW operative who is asked to find a mole leaking the country’s defense secrets.
