New Delhi: Many states across the country will experience fluctuating weather until November 5. In light of this, the International Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rain in some states in the Northeast and Southeast. While rain is expected in Northwest and Central India(BHARAT), a severe cold front is forecast.
Northwest India(BHARAT), including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, and Haryana, will remain largely dry throughout this week. Minimum temperatures in these states are expected to hover between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius. This may be slightly above normal, but a mild chill will begin to be felt in the morning and late at night.
A new Western Disturbance
A new Western Disturbance is becoming active in early November, bringing thunderstorms and rain to many parts of the country and increasing the cold. According to the Meteorological Department, rain in many states between November 3 and 5 will cause a significant drop in minimum temperatures, leading to severe cold from the second week of November.
Weather will fluctuate; drop in temperature
Scientists at the India(BHARAT)n Meteorological Department (IMD) predict that the weather will fluctuate between November 1 and 5, 2025. The IMD has issued an alert for heavy rain in some states in the northeastern and southeastern regions, while northwest and central India(BHARAT) may not experience rain, but a strong cold wave is expected.
According to the Meteorological Department in Uttar Pradesh, the drop in temperatures due to rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh will continue, leading to colder mornings and evenings.
Light rain, thundershowers expected in parts of Rajasthan
Meanwhile, light rain accompanied by thundershowers is expected in Kota, Udaipur, and Ajmer divisions of eastern Rajasthan. However, from November 5, the weather will become dry across the state, and minimum temperatures will drop, increasing the cold.
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in coastal Andhra Pradesh on November 3. Additionally, rainfall activity will decrease in the plains of North India(BHARAT), and cold will set in, accompanied by a significant drop in minimum temperatures.
Possibility of Snowfall
Regarding the hilly states, a new western disturbance is developing in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand between November 3 and 5. Due to this, snowfall is expected in the upper regions and rain in the lower regions. Scattered rains may continue in southern India(BHARAT), namely Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, but there is no major alert. In Gujarat, the weather is expected to remain dry during this period, with a slight drop in night temperatures.
